Activities

Each year we get behind the work of our Mission Partners in Outback and Urban Australia, the jungles of Ecuador, war-torn Lebanon, and remote Burkina Faso and with a special interest in Cambodia. During the month of May we pay special attention to the stories of our Mission Partners and endeavour to raise their much needed support. We believe God has a heart for the people of every nation and long to see more and more of them come to know his love and grace.

Chiredzi Kids

Chiredzi is a small town in the Masvingo Province in the south east of Zimbabwe, near the Runde River. The name Chiredzi means “a place for line fishing”.

What is ChiredziKids?

Ranger and Dolly are our Mission Partners in Chiredzi who pastor a local church and care for a number of orphans. ChiredziKids is a way that you can support one of these orphans.

ChiredziKids Facts:

  • In Zimbabwe many children have been made homeless as a result of the AIDS pandemic, government oppression and family tragedy.
  • Established in 2001, our partnership provides shelter, food, education, and a secure family environment for orphans and vulnerable children in Chiredzi.
  • Currently 17 children are supported.
  • An accepting church has been established for young people rejected by their society.
  • ChiredziKids allows you to support an individual child in the program, with a chance to have a closer relationship than an average orphan support charity allows.
  • Provide a child with a second chance in life for less than $1 a day.

How do I become a ChiredziKids partner?

Contact James McMaster at Blakehurst Baptist Church to talk about supporting one of the ChiredziKids.
